SURESH KERKETTA

Suresh Kerketta is an independent filmmaker whose work bridges the worlds of cinematography, photography, and storytelling. His journey began with a camera in hand and a fascination for how light, movement, and emotion could come together to reveal the human experience. Over the years, Suresh has contributed to a wide range of projects — from independent feature films and short films to documentaries, corporate and promotional pieces, and wedding films — each one deepening his understanding of image, rhythm, and character.

A graduate of ESEC, Paris (Diploma in Film Direction, 2022), Suresh brings together the discipline of his earlier life as a Mechanical Engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur with the sensitivity of a visual artist.

Suresh often edits and directs his own films, believing that cinema is as much about intuition as it is about craft — a balance of precision and emotion. His work explores themes of identity, solitude, and human connection, often with a quiet visual intimacy.

He currently lives and works in Paris, France, where he continues to develop his film projects and collaborations.

He has won best cinematography and best editing for ‘Death Alive’ a short film for a national short film competition held at Hyderabad in 2012 under the banner of 48 hour film project.
